Cwspelloe - I appreciate you trying to uphold Virgin Media's name as you are an employee, but the reality is that the service we have received is abysmal and we are not an isolated case either - a quick browse of the VM forums reveals the problems are very widespread.
At present, any internet provider who can buffer a 2 minute Youtube video is significantly better than VM fiber optic service. The connection speed is terrific - don't get me wrong - we have seen 20-30mb on our line at times, but if it can't sustain a constant connection to buffer HD video via BBC iPlayer or Youtube, it's backwards technology. I have at times disabled the wifi on my iPhone so I can stream a video via 3G connection in better quality.
It truly sucks. If they're traffic monitoring then they're doing a very bad job of it. If they're not traffic monitoring then they're just providing a very bad service.

Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.
