HDI starting woes....
#1
Kayleys car has been in hidernation for 6 months in a garage while she has been to france to work

when storing it we did the normal stuff, like fill it with her stuff and drive it and park it up,
We took the battery off and placed some cat litter in trays to soak up any moisture that would appear

so today is 6 months on and today was the day to dig out the car, get it started and bring it home,

took the fresh charged battery down connected it up, turned it over, and over, and over NO GO!
al the lights in the right place, tank pump spinning up, but still nothing.

we knew the fuel gauge was broken so had another pump sender unit to fit
but we could hear the pump spinning!

decided to go home and get peugeot planet as i feared the wost that the ECU had lost its IMMO codes being disconnected for 6 months from the battery

nope not that! scan the ecu for faults nothing that would stop the car........
Live data Fuel pressure request 300bar actual 0bar............oh fuel pump?

took of the feed pipe to the filter no flow!

took pump out the tank as it was going to be replaced anyway....................

SOME ONE HAD SYPHONED the tank dry! ............bastards

15ltrs of fuel into the tank with the replacement pump
and the car started first try after priming the system

moral of this story
Keep it simple stupid!
