Refitting fuel rails
#1
Ok so I had to remove the fuel rails and intake manifold on a BMW E38 to replace a coolant pipe that had broken, after getting some new extension pieces I finally managed to get the intake bolted back on. My new problem is trying to push the fuel rails back into the intake. I just wondered if anyone had any tips for getting them back in? I accept its just 'pushing it back in' but I thought about putting petrol around the seals and using a piece of wood and hammer to strike the top of the rails? Any suggestions will be appreciated Smile
