So after my 407 got pranged just before Christmas, I've been wafting around in a Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 CDTi, but I had the call today to say the 407 is a total loss, and that they have arranged a payout for me. Which has left me in a bit of a quandry, what next?
Basically I need an estate, preferably diesel, and thats about it. Budget is up to £1500. Been looking at an Audi A6 Avant 2.5 TDI Sport Quattro, but those of you that have seen my post on Faceache will have a rough idea of why I'm having second thoughts.
Another option is another 407, almost exactly the same as my one, but a year newer, and a nicer colour. Or I have seen a Saab 9-3 locally that's had a recent timing belt and water pump done, which is also mildly tempting. WHY IS BUYING A CAR SO DIFFICULT!?!??!!
Anyway, thoughts? Want something fairly reliable, as it's a daily driven workhorse and family wagon (kinda writes off the 306 tbh!
), so could do without having a long ass list of things that need fixing off the bat.
