Which is why I think it's a bearing issue. Jack up the car and examine the wheels. Without actually looking at what has been recommended to do there is not much anyone can eliminate. 

We need to know what you find when you do it :Smile

A worn bearing when cold will result it - rough rotation and play in the wheel. 

**remember if/when you jack the back of the car up, to securely chock the front wheels, and release the handbrake when the wheels are in the air, as if the handbrake is on you will not be able to rotate wheels nor will you be able to feel for play **
