It's probably because they are made by a decent supplier, possibly before everything got made out East instead. 
Could be rebraded Britool or similar, or you've just been lucky with it! 

I like my Halfords kit, even more now I get it on trade, that and just random bits for odd jobs now and again keeps me going!
