Re-examining the pic, I think the sprocket failing is the cause of the chain snap. The thickness of the oil pushing the pressure too high, and putting too high a strain on the sprocket,
i think reducing the viscosity of the oil will prevent this happening again even though the car is not mine, it was gutting to hear she was broked... But happy days are here again I bet you can not wait for the weekend bud ha ha ha
