whilst a duratec can make good power, it needs a lot throwing at it with the right engine builder, whereas a zetec yanked from a focus or mondeo is cheap bhp.
forget honda, its a bery expensive route, and whilst they make power, they dont have the grunt a rally car needs really, B series turns the wrong way btw, i havent heard of a k20, F20 is a fairly straightforward conversion but not cheap.
vauhall based engines are a well trodden route for the past 20years, I'd personally keep it Ford though, so you can use it in places like Belgium and France where the engine must come from the same manufacturer.
