Had a insane quote for my scooby couple years ago, £27,000!!! Then when I got my 306 HDi thinking it would be cheaper to run, ended up paying more, somthing like £200 more, ended up arguing with my insurance as just couldn't work out how the hell a diesel hatch was more risk then a bloody Scooby!! But the tables have turned, I now pay £180 for a 220bhp Ibiza 
1 thing I remember when I 1st started driving, I wanted a lil Fiesta and my friend had an SI mk3, really liked it so did some quotes and found out the 1.6 was less to insure than the 1.4!!! Just don't understand how they work it out
