Just a little list for my own benefit more than anything.
Bits I've done/bought for this whilst replacing engine include:
- £130 Exedy clutch kit including bearing
- £90 Apex/HardRace engine mounts
- £40 Apex/HardRace gearbox mount
- £40 Stainless 3" elbow
- £30 Lambda sensor (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151008755818)
- £30 Conceptua MLS exhaust manifold gasket
- £18 Mintex rear pads
- £13 K&N oil filter
- £10 Exhaust manifold nuts zinc
- £9 NGK BKR7E copper spark plugs 0.8 gap
- £6 Large Audi TT 3.2 fuel filter
And some "spares" I have been buying when the price has been right:
- £110 50mm rear over fenders
- £60 Aftermarket side skirts
- £50 Aftermarket front bumper
- £50 Stainless T3 top mount manifold
- £45 Stainless bottom mount manifold
- £8 Alloy locking wheel nuts
Last two evenings have been spent removing blown engine, swapping everything onto new engine and fitting some of the above listed parts.
Have also completely stripped/removed the ABS system and made new lines.
New engines going in tonight after gym/dinner if all goes to plan.
1) The beginning..
2) Engine coming out.
3) Engine out!
4) New Apex/Hardrace engine mounts.
5) Stipping everything off old block for new.
6) Building new block back up.
7) Built up ready to go.
8) Engine bay all de greased with ABS unit / lines removed and new lines fabricated.
9) Scene points loop.
10) Old block/components ready for strip down/rebuild.
