V6 is a good swap for instant 210bhp but there isn't much tuning potential beyond that without large outlay.
I'll go low boost eventually as 240bhp and just over 1100kg will keep me up with all the vxr stuff and focus st etc which is all we get around here.
Why would anyone throw that sort of money at a 306 when you could just buy a renaultsport megane for circa 3k, have it mapped / modded (+ £600) too 280bhp and have an epicically fun car to drive / own thats going to really anihilate most vxr's / ST's etc in a straight line and definitely destroy them through the bends?
A well tuned XUD will stick a VXR and beat an ST all day
