after a couple of weeks got on with a bit of polishing the paintwork

Here's a quick shot of the roof all shiny and clean pretty chuffed with the results

next job was to clean and paint the engine



Also painted the engine bay black



And got my dash cut around the cage and fitted

got the engine in and running for the first time in my ownership

Got my doors, bumpers, grill and fibreglass boot and bonnet painted (by me) and fitted up along with the trims. Boot fits beutufully and bonnet is ok for a fibreglass skin. Not entirely happy with the gap on the lh side but that's more to do with the ecp wings I've fitted more than the bonnet. Also not 100% sure on the grill but it's what came with the car so will stick with it for mean time

And that's pretty much how it sits today bar a couple of tweeks like exhaust change etc

what engine will you be using?

Thanks as you can prob tell a bit of copying and pasting going on with the thread from elsewhere but got there in the end. 

Just a standard gti engine for the time being.
