The Clio's have their own 750MC race series meaning that although there is loads of parts about there is very few cheap ones. They are less than 100kg lighter than a Rallye and IIRC have less torque. Also The 306GTi6 is 167bhp, the Clio is 172PS which is only 170bhp. There realy isn't much between them on paper and having never driven one that shape other than a 1.5DCi I wouldn't like to comment on the difference of driving them.
Matt 106s go in all the usual 306 places but also I have never seen a 306 rust massive fist size holes on the inner wings like every 106 I've owned does and I've never seen a 306 rust through on the seam between the floor and the bit that goes over the petrol tank for a starters. Also they rust through on the joins between the boot floor and the rear arches and TBH anywhere around there.
