Buy a clio 172 for circa £600. buy cooksport springs and Cup shocks circa £200. Buy mk1 clio 15" wheels and R888 tyres and enjoy the grunt of a gti6 with the nimbleness of a 106.
Nope, completely disagree. 106s rust in the same place as 306s plus a host more places.
Also I wouldn't buy something hoping it would be "like a GTi6" as they never are, ask lolsteve.
I feel qualified to judge as i have had multiples of all the cars in question. 306's rust in just as many places, Just ask anyone with a 5 door and no arch liners...
A well fettled 172 is an extremely competitive track car and i think bang for buck you cant really go wrong. 306 gti6 power with 106 gti handling.
