You wouldn't want to tow a 106 on any sort of decent trailer behind a 306. It wouldn't be great. At all. And barely legal - just because it's plated doesn't mean it is safe. I tow all the time up to 3.3t behind a DMax but it's not happy beyond that even though it's plated for 3.5t
I've driven a lot of 106 and 306s. This talk of the 106 being more nimble is a bit bollocks, depends on how the 306 is setup. 205 with a gti6 lump would be better or Clio as Allen says.
