No mate the gross weight of the trailer needs to be less than the max of what the 306 can tow (usually plated at about 100kg less than the vehicle weight).

Best thing you can do is get the 106 weighed at a public weighbridge or friendly scrap yard then you know exactly how much you have to play with
Also remember that that 1200kg is the gross weight of the trailer (the weight of the trailer combined with the max weight it can carry) not the actual weight of trailer plus 106. You can get a new plate for the trailer making say a 2600kg trailer a 1200kg trailer though but this practice is slightly dubious.
