I would say it was the other way round as thats the whole point of the twinpass the charge stays in the intercooler for longer to cool it better, but i can't see it making that much difference on an HDI, i know it is easier as with a twinpass as both the inlet and outlet are on the same side , but as Poodle says it's not difficult to get a singlepass and loop the pipe work around so both are on the same side.
