I don't find 306s that cheap to mod tbh!  Depends what you can do yourself though I guess, you could buy a full set of springs, a remap and decat pipe for a Mk4 Golf for less than a garage beam lowering on a Pug lol.  I find new parts for 306s are expensive as well...look at Eibach springs or Bilstein shocks, no cheaper than for other makes!  Its just that people on here buy used/worn out/broken stuff so it appears cheap.
