I want to trace the owner of a specific registration plate. It's been on the car since it was first registered, to most it's nothing special. The car in question is still on the road, taxed till July and MOT'd till may. At least I can find that out via the DVLA.
I also know the engine size, it's diesel and an MB.
I know that you can fill in a form for the DVLA with a reason and pay £2.50 and get the info.
However my reason isn't listed by them and thus everyone suggests will be rejected (but I can try anyway if I exhaust other avenues).
I read that Experian’s Keeper Enquiry System will give out the owner details but I don't have access to that and it's business only.
I also believe that a HPI check can confirm that but I'm not sure ??
Does anyone have access to either and would be able to do a check for me please?
I just want the owners details so I can either make them an offer on the whole car or hopefully just the plate and surprise the Mrs for her birthday.
