Yes, because in mollycoddling our children we are creating a society of people that don't have enough real problems to worry about, therefore create imaginary problems of their own. I won't get started on that, interested to see you acknowledge it without prompting though.
However, although i may not be the most sympathetic, i can empathise. That said, Matt is dead right. Anyone who really knows me will be able to tell you just how bad (or perhaps good) i am at making good excuses for not doing something i don't want to do. Your responses to the suggestions in this thread are 90% excuses, much as i despise the expression, you can't bullshit a bullshitter mate.
I'm sure some of them are genuinely important considerations, but only you can be honest enough with yourself to say which, although i have my suspicions lol. I guess what i'm saying is don't automatically dismiss stuff out of hand because the idea makes you uncomfortable, your best chance is to give yourself as many options as possible.
