The V40 uses the Renault F9Q dCi engine which is CommonRail.
It can be remapped, however it can also have a tuning box...
Just because an engine isn't CommonRail, doesn't mean it can't be mapped, most early VW TDis are like this, use a rotary pump, but electronic control
