Well after a successful post in the introduction section of the forum I thought I would do a project build thread showing a bit more detail about what I have done so far 
Bought the car back in 2012 off a mate for a ridiculously cheap price, which I like to remind him everytime I see him
(he owed me for helping him build a Rover P4 200Tdi...but thats another story in itself! Drifting machine!!!) since then I have done several modifications to it!
Couldn't find a photo of the car before I lowered it, so here is one after fitting 40mm lowering springs to the front and a 1.9 gti rear beam:

Kept the drum brakes on the back as I didn't have any discs or calipers to go on! Fitted group N rally bushes to the rear axle for a little extra discomfort over the bumps

Soon got bored of the standard STDT wheels, looked a bit scruffy without the centre caps...which apparently always fall off!
So found a cheap set of 'Insert alloy wheel name here' wheels, think they were from a 206! Had nearly new tyres all round so wanted a replacement 14" wheel:

Still had the standard exhaust system so cut that off and set to work building a new one!
I was lucky enough to be working during my University placement at a test engineering company...so quickly got to work stealing their exhaust analysis software!
I used this software to help design a backbox which was free flowing whilst removing the annoying low frequency noises (Motorway cruising noises) and to my surprise it worked

Turned out pretty sexual
Had already turned up the pump by this point but due to the XUD7 not having an intercooler I was fighting a loosing battle with the intake temperatures! So went about fitting a front mount

Ended up fitting an Audi S3 intercooler by removing one of the cooling fans and remounting the other one as far to one side as possible.

Also fitted a Xantia inlet manifold to channel the boosts into the engine
Soon got bored with the standard turbo....
Had this beauty lying around as a piece of desk art

Is off a Land Rover Freelander 2/Ford Mondeo TDCi
VNT was electronically controlled, but due to lack of time I haven't got round to programming a microcontroller to control it yet...so for now went for a wastegate actuator with a feed from the inlet manifold

There is lots I have missed and will keep adding to this post when I find the pictures!
Am currently in the process of fitting a bosch pump and injectors but having some problems with it as you probable have already seen!
