i hope this doesnt sound condescending as it isnt meant to, that sort of drinking isnt necessarily a problem, but what you described about feeling like you need a drink regularly after work, something stressfull is a problem knocking on a very rickety door., think of it like this tho, every pint you drink mate is another 6 months shaved off your liver, and if you have family (kids, wife, etc) use them as your focus point when you are thinking about having a drink, if nothing else.

and tbh f*ck what your friends say, you do what YOU feel is the right thing to do, and from the outside looking in this seems like the right thing to be doing
i dont drink often, and i have absolutely no...er, a good social life, lol., you dont need Alcohol to be social.
