Apart from the pub there isn't really much else to do in yorkshire? 
Not really a big drinker so can't relate am afraid, somewhat of a lightweight in both booze and tomato sandwhiches. But do love being down the pub with chums generally prefer it over a night out clubbing so get why you'd be drawn to it so often. Have you considered having people over at yours instead? could limit the amount available and if you pass out who cares it's your place
