Potentially that splitter could be screwing the whole schebang up.. it doesnt take much to interfere with a line..


do you have a filter plugged into EVERY socket in the house? if not, you need one (even if there is no modem there)

you need to rewire the telephone cabling in your house thus...

[pole]-----[master]-------------[extension]--------[extension] (daisy chained)

with the master socket faceplate having the extensions wired into it (there is a section to wire it into the removable bit on the newer faceplates) which means that when the faceplate is removed, all of the extensions within the house are disconnected.

you can see the wire wired into the back of the faceplate of hte new style master socket here.. this faceplate plugs into the "master socket" on the wall mounted bit.
