I'm still unsure why everyone is about money? You want money, make money; don't work for someone else.
Secondly, as long as your content with what you're doing it shouldn't matter? Are you living to work, or working to live...?
Personally, being a recent graduate and now an employee the world, it seems, is open to me. Knowing I'll be buying a house this time next year is a nice feeling.
