hopefully around 2-3 years as i have to save up to move out and im only 20 so there arent many more cars that are so cheap on insurance for a grand.

whatever i buy im hoping to last at least 2 years but your right a £1k golf will be crap high miles and at the end of its life. Although the 306's are getting on a £1k 306 hdi should be in a better shape than a golf for the same price also cheaper to fix and mod.
