Unless its a conventional system and not an intelligent one....... and then as long as you replace the head properly there won't be any problem, clearly you should test it once installed to make sure that it is working correctly though

Yeah if it's a conventional then you just have to test but I know that that red gent key is for a MCP that only works on an addressable system. Plus I can't see a hospital running a conventional system lol

No I don't mean addressable, I mean the old style of conventional system...........Can't you?? because I know of 2 hospitals that do, and its possible to connect old conventional zones to an addressable panel using interface units which tends to be the preferred way of upgrading the system for a lot of hospitals due to budget constraints!
