I had 195/45s on my Superleggera alloys and they were fine, just buy a tyre with a 'rim protector' on it, no more or less exposed than they would be on a 205/45.

They were the epic Goodyear Eagle F1s back in the day though, set me back about £65 a piece and that was 5 years ago...
