Id agree, it was a few hundred quid cheaper to insure a rallye for me than a Clio 172

Get yourself a GTI6 or Rallye
Nothing wrong with a 306 Diesel, still handle well and get good mpg if all set up properly
From what I've heard a gti-6 or rallye wont be much better on fuel!
Yeah I used to have a 1.4 and loved the handling, so a lightly modded phase 1 dturbo will be perfect
Yes they wont be the best on fuel but as people say you pay for 'smiles per gallon', theres probably not many cars that can compete with a GTI6/Rallye for that
Plus I have a HDI if I need to get good mpg's
