Hi all,
First post here! I recently got the cloned PP interface off Ebay and it is possible to run it on Vista/Win7/8 machine using a virtual XP.
I first tried with the Windows 7 version of the virtual environment but got errors, but with a bit of hunting found the solution.
Download and install VMware player plus, this is free;
http://www.vmware.com/uk/products/player
the download link is at the bottom of the page
then as per the detailed technical explanation on this post;
https://communities.vmware.com/people/jm...og/2012/03
add this
monitor_control.enable_rigorous_fpu_save_restore = TRUE
to the bottom of the .vmx file (edit using notepad)
Hey presto working PP on virtual XP, no need to dual boot or suffer XP as your main OS on your laptop!
