The saga continues.. We had another bash Saturday and got a pas pipe to fit (bent by hand!). The clutch issue was erm.. The friction plate fitted the wrong way round (me mate was well pissed off he'd done this!) box came off twice and two bolts were/are a Complete pain to get to with the lump in. Engine is lumpy at tickover so we read the codes and replaced cam sensor/ pipe to icv/ cleaned icv/ tried another maf. Still lumpy
On the drive home it wouldn't rev over 5.3k like it was hitting a limiter.. Some goggle time and help from others and another trip to Lynn with info, wire and a soldering iron sorted the revs to do with using 318 diff with 328 engine and the abs speed sensor. It boiled up but it was a leaky rad cap which I've replaced now. My mate named the car Damien.. After it boiled up it gavee a message..
I've sprayed easy start over all vacuum pipes and found a massive air leak where the icv connects to the manifold. I'm hoping this will sort the idle issue. Paid £12 postage for the grommet on Tuesday for next day. Was dispatched today. Joy...
