and oil consumption and rebuilds every 40k though. Not to mention the lack of torque.

Oil consumption is pub bollocks, so is lack of torque....and rebuilds anywhere from 60-100k usually.

Well my mate had an RX-7, and it used a litre of oil every 1500-2000 miles, definitely didn't feel torquey either. And that was after a rebuild.
