If you want to prevent water coming in through the sunroof I'd advise you to get hold of an air line or something and blow compressed air down the drain tubes to clear any blockages. This is a good way to clear them if they're blocked but can't hurt to blast them clean anyway.
Just make sure they haven't detatched from the sunroof under the headliner...trust me that is annoying!
That is an excellent shout I hadn't thought of, where abouts are the drain points on these?
