Found out the hard way on the way home from work that when the 205 is showing half full,it's actually empty.
Thought it was running a bit odd, dropped down to 3 cylinders a couple of times so I pulled over, lifted the bonnet to check for any short circuit sparking and saw nothing.Pulled dizzy cap off and cleaned it,still no better.Tried to nurse it home and it died about 5 miles away.Could tell it was a fuel issue by then and noticed the fuel light was on although the gauge was showing half full.
Luckily, the bloke whose driveway i had broken down next to turned up and I spoke to him,he laughed and sold me some petrol he had for his lawnmower and I made it to the garage.
That WILL catch me out again,I'm bad enough with a working gauge, playing fuel light roulette is fun.
