Mine was dropped 30mm before i fitted the D2s and it handled like a dream (and still was fairly comfortable). Fitted the D2s which were down about 50-60mm and its ruined the handling compared to what it was like not to mention how uncomfortable it is. I don't see where this idea comes from that you have to be low and on coil overs to handle well. Its rubbish. I know we all take the piss out of standard height 306s but it must of been that height for a reason. Peugeot built some of the best handling cars of that era so i doubt some frog with a glass of red wine just decided he wanted to be able to fit his fist in the arch. There would of been a reason for it and I'm sure they chucked a substantial amount more money in to developing the suspension on 306s than the likes of GAZ could ever dream of having.
Granted on a nice smooth track, stiffer shocks and springs will be better but in reality, how often do we all drive on track!?
