What was the experiment actually to do with? Anyone know?
Hahah, excellent observation! What's the difference between a concert and a gig? - merely the point at which people clap.
Doesn't matter how you dress it up, the concept of class imho only ever existed as a structured way of looking down on other people, why do you think snobs are also known as social climbers? Of course class is a governor amongst society, societal structure is based purely on people's perceptions - what is class if not the difference between people's perceptions of themselves, where they belong in society and where they would like to belong in society? I think what used to be called class has probably been morphed into something else these days by people who are paid to re-market old ideas, but the basic concept remains unchanged in my eyes.
