Realistically how many licence holders are there for auto only for HGVs? As said currently the majority of trucks anyone will learn in are full manuals anyway.
There's no difference in putting me into a truck that has a crash box or a 12 speed etc as I've only ever driven a straight 6 (all be it for 10 mins), renault super h (2 hours tops), and a 4 over 4 manual.
For pcv drivers this may be more of a issue as a lot of drivers are taught by the companies they work for using the vechiles that they will drive day to day. Being that most buss are full auto giving these licence holders may manual rights may cause more of a issue.
