Best steels to get banded?

Id be interested in this too, so if we were to band 6.5j et 18 steels to 8j what would be the final et ?

Would be pretty much bang on ET0 mate. Convert the J difference to mm, halve it, and subtract from the original ET (you're making the ET more negative by banding the outside)

So 1.5J difference is approx 37mm, centreline of wheel moves half that distance, so 18.5mm.

Will vary by a couple of mm each way though as the banding process may be out by a couple of mm.
