Little bit of an update.
After realising that the intercooler, I was using, wasn't up to the job I started looking around for another alternative. The obvious route was twin pass as I have a decent amount of room up beside the left of the radiator. So anyways....I found one.

Started mounting it up with some random bits of aluminium strip

and also secured from the bottom (bent this one in the wrong place)

Next thing was to sort that air intake I was using as pointed out many times it was too restrictive. So engine off it's mount.

Filed it up and wrapped some silicone pipe around

And ran some flexi pipe through (courtesy of Frosty)
And stuck a random mushroom filter on the end

On the way home things started to play up, namely the fan stopped working (so when sat waiting for Ruan the temps got rather warm), blew a boost hose off (my fault for not beading pipes), radio stopped working and now severe loss of boost. Haven't looked into it in too much detail but all pipe work looks fine. After working on it every evening for the last week or so I'm having a time out away from the thing and catching up on other bits and pieces.
Not sure where to go with it now apart from try and get it back working again.
Comments (good and bad) are welcome.
