I'd be contacting their head office with photos of the pads and discs you kept after the work was done and explain that they're clearly fine and you're unhappy with the service. Just have a big rant about them taking advantage of people etc.

This tbh, its f*cking disgusting they get away with it.

Years back my alt belt snapped, only place open, so asked them to just fit a belt to get me home, which they wouldn't do as I 'needed' all the tensioners replacing and other stuff (this is without looking properly, which it may have needed I can't remember but I knew I wasn't paying their prices)
They then told me it would be dangerous to drive without replacing the belt and that my car wouldn't run, the electrics controlling the engine wouldn't work ...
This is all on a dturbo, so after being told they really can't let me drive it like this I drove it home, funnily enough apart from the battery not charging it was absolutely fine
