Yeah this, You can put one out with water but it instantly needs a vast amount to sufficiently suffocate and cool the fire. Putting the lid on the chip pan is the better option.
Completely 100% wrong. The best thing to do (assuming you have one of course) is to wrap your self in a fire blanket and GTFO!
