And then it could (policy dependant) void your policy if you refused to hand over footage especially if you've received a discount for it.
The eBay ones are cheap enough, you own the device, ergo you own the footage so should you ever be involved in a incident it is totally at your discretion as to wether you offer your footage up as evidence.
