Oil gauge/cooling Q's

Id suggest starting with just a gauge mate, otherwise how do you know you need an oil cooer? Due to the high efficiency and lows rev nature of these engines tyere isn't much excess heat and friction to be absorbed, so an oil cooler would be excessive. Bryn ran one on his build and found it cooled the engine too much, even at over 200bhp.

A gearbox oil cooler would be a much better investment imo, running twice as much torque as stock can't be doing the box mamy favours, as dum-dum proved. Wink
