If its a 50l compressor, you are probably looking at somewhere between 3.5-5 CFM. Mines 4.7 so fairly high for the size but cheapy no name ones that are 3.5 max are not suitable for spraying. The motor cant directly pump the pressure at the pressure the gun is taking so eventually it will run out of puff and you will get spatters in the paint. Not what you need. If your going to do it, id suggest trying your local hire shop and see what compressors they rent out.
As for paint, i cant help you. Its something im reading up on my self at the moment though so may be able to help soon.
You can get small guns intended for touch ups and detail work that will easily work on 3.5-4.5cfm but it would be stupidly impractical to do an entire car with one and you will probably end up with a really uneven finish.
