Yes, that is the edge of the carpet you can see just through the plates on the left....
I will say I was surprised how much is just butted together with seam sealer and left to the spot welds on the sill. It's not going back together like that, stick everything to everything with some stitch welding incoming...
Stonechip/seam sealer is over 10mm thick in some places, think of all the weight I've saved!
