A GT4 is a massively capable car, but the maintenance costs are pretty excessive and because of that you will struggle to find an example which has been 'well looked after' or "properly looked after".
Bulletproof reliability but it's very much a car I'd want as a track / rally slag. I wouldn't want the risk associated with running it as my only car every day! And they do like to drink too.
If you get an old 306 then you pay peanuts but get much of the same level of enjoyment at a much lower (and safer?) pace. This all comes without the absurd servicing costs, you can run a 306 on a shoestring (like most of us do).
A 306 doesn't compare IMO to a WRC slag, but it will be much less hassle in the long run.
