I'm heading to put 5K into premium bonds and cross my fingers

but Ive got to look at ISA's and there interest rates then make my final decision

check out cash ISA's and also check out share ISA's, share ISA's are slightly more risk (you can chose your risk depending on provider) but a better return on investment than cash ISA
