They're in excess of £1000 most of the time...
They're the most technically complex piece of engineering in any Diesel engine up until 2000 - even now CR pumps aren't as technically complex, it's only the computers that make them complex... The tolerances are simply unreal, and the fact you can nigh on chuck anything through them as long as it's filtered is a miracle... Unbelievable pieces of precision engineering considering they were developed and manufactured before people even thought that computers would even become commonplace in homes and the Internet hadn't even been thought of...
Short thread summary - new VE pump for sale, guy laughed at it being £300 when we pay ~£60 for a pump, didn't realise it was a chronic 4BT pump, we laughed instead...
