fitting new torsion bars

Gays and women!

Just bought some of these bigger torsion bars and will be fitting them at the weekend. Just a quick question, the ones ive got have a threaded hole on either end and iirc the ones in the car have a small thread in the end to put a small nut on to hold the bars into the arms correct?
If so, does this thread just unscrew? can i just lock two nuts together on there and undo it?
